DAIM Torte

Boring baca kisah politik. Takpe.. semangat ku akan dicucuh semula bila pergi BTN next week. Anyways.. berbalik kepada topik harini, on DAIM Torte.

Daim torte ni sejenis dessert yg kalau kitorg gi ikea, mesti pekena dulu tart ni. Mmg heavenly gile. It's made of well, obviously Daim chocolates. (Speaking of ikea, batul ke kat penang nak bukak ikea ek??)

Masa gi induksi kat langkawi haritu, dah borong 2 bags of Daim chocs yang 400g, murah sikitla by abt RM3 kat sana, banding kalau beli kat KL. Now tht i've lots of Daim chocsm, rasa cam best gak kalau boleh buat Daim totre tu.. Masalahnya, i've googled samapi jariku penat, tapi tak jumpa la resepi dia. Kalau ada sesiapa boleh berkongsi resepi Daim torte, sudi-sudikanla ye. :) Dah lama tak makan nih... huhu.. sedapnye...

CikD telah mentag aku last thursday. So, setelah reda sket demam pilihanraya nih, aku pun bersedia utk buat homework yg telah diberikan oleh CikD. :)

1.Blogs - tempat aku update ttg kawan2 dan jugak ntah sape2 yg aku tak kenal tapi aku suka cara diorg bercerita.

2. Blogger - utk mengupdate cerita ceritiku

3. Email (ni kira tempat online ke?) - emel kem. n peribadi... tp yg peribadi tu jarang sikit bukak.

4. News - esp. kalau ada current hot news i.e pilihanraya, appointment of new cabinet, pembentangan bajet, franchising.. blaa..bla.. benda2 yg org expect aku kena tau.. :p

5. Online businesses - bakery online, photography online, kedai baju online... isk..isk... tgk je lebih.. belinya jarang2.. hehehe...

Ok... dah siap keje umah. Sorryla cikD.. keje umah nih macam cincai sket.. sbb tadi di pertengahan tetiba bos panggil lak.. terus hilang idea. Ishhh...

Dengan lengkapnya keje umah, maknanya aku kena tag org lain pulak ke?? Hmm.. aku rasa ko dah tag dah sume yg aku nk tag.. hahaha... Just in case diorg tatau diorg dah kena tag, ni haaa... ALQAS, AZENO, tambah lagik KDILLA, EINAZANI, ANIS tambah lagi sorang.. KGHAZI... hehe.. lengkap sume org yg aku biasa lawat. :)

Btw... aku rindu banget kat hasben nih... Huhuhu.... Apo nak buat???

One big boo-boo

The 2008 election is certainly a major historical event. For the first time ever, the National Front coalition failed to maintain 2/3 majority in parliament. Apart form that, the opposition also made a big win on five states! Shocking, but true.

That's one big boo-boo alright. Too bad it's not the kind of boo-boo that a kiss can make better.

Why the big lost for Barisan? Well.. i'm no political analyst. But from the view of this tiny-voiced rakyat, i think that BN has taken things for granted, and thinks that things will always go smoothly, and it there will always be that heavenly creamy icing on top of the cake. Well... like or not, things won't go that way unless you WORK for it. It won't go that way just because you choose to listen only to the nice things that you want to listen or see the comforting things you want to see.. What you have to remember is that you're elected by the rakyat. If you fail them, they'll definitely go against you. Just because you tell them that things are fine, doesn't mean that they'll take your word for it. Nowadays, rakyat has so many means to get information, so don't treat the rakyat like they're too dumb to just listen and obey.

"He said the fact that Indians, Chinese and Malays voted for the Opposition showed that it was not about racial politics but that on the whole, the people sent the same signal.

Malays and Umno members voted for the Opposition because they were affected by the high inflation, and despite the high economic growth figures announced by the Government and the launch of development corridors, the people did not feel the benefits, he said."

And quoting Ku Li (also, exceprts taken from The Star):

“The honesty with which we interpret this result, and the decisiveness with which we act on it, will determine whether we still have a future with the people.

Its time to wake up and re-evaluate.

** Wow... Samy lost... Wouldn't it be more honorable to step down when he had the opportunity to, rather that lost his seat? I hope that sesiapa yg berkenaan will learn and take appropraite actions **

The Heat Is On!

Election day is TOMMORROW!! For the past week.. or rather since i checked my eligibility to vote and my voting post online, i'v e been contemplating whether or not to cast my vote this year. This is due to several causes.. One of which, i'm still broken by the incident during 2004 elections --> the EC secretariats at the polling post where i should vote couldn't find my name. I went to several other polling stations and my name still wasn't in any of the list, but when i checked it online prior to the election day, i'm a registered voter at a specific polling station (the first one i went to where they couldn't find my name). I was very frustrated for not being able to vote when my excitement to vote was to the brim. I don't think its an issue of conspiracy whatsoever.. I just think that they should be more efficient. So there. One of the reasons i still have reservations whether or not to go out and vote tmrw. Other reasons, i won't disclose for public viewing. :) Hehe. It could get me in trouble you know! ;)

The heat of the election makes me miss our beloved former PM even more. No, i haven't moved on. To me he's the only person who has what it takes to be a good and effective leader. He's got discipline, forward thinking, vision, knowledge... most of which our current leaders are lacking.

Back in the good old days, prior to independence and a few years post independence, leaders went into politics for the sake of the community, for the sake of their people. Now, MOST enter politics for the sake of their own. Only a small minority does it for the sake of the nation. Which is very sad. Very, very sad indeed.

Sigh!~ Regardless of what i feel, politics will still remain as it is. And whether or not i'll go out and cast my vote tomorrow.. well.. who knows?

MC @ The Office

Sigh!~ Sia2 je mc harini... kena duduk kat opis pulak. Tak sempat nak blk umah upon dapat mc tadi. This morning bila bangun, mata sebelah merah semacam, rasa cam berair je. Dtg opis, around 10 baru gi klinik. Dr kasik mc suh dok umah. Tapik, x-bos lakkata nak drop by.. sampai dah dekat kol 12.. nak balik pun dah alang2.. sbb kalau blk ingat nak balik sorang, ptg karang br amek sarah. Takut kalau amek dia awal, spend more time dgn dia, kang terjangkit lak sakit mata. Since dah kul 1 baru x-bos balik, mc kat opis je la jawabnye. Baru pekena piriton.. dr kasik utk kurangkan gatal2 mata and hidung. Kepala high tgh ngantuk... kena gi crash jap kat surau nih.

Dr cakap most probably viral infection. Biasanya nanti akan develop rasa mcam nak demam.. Sekarang ni dah setat la nih rasa cam seram2 sejuk. Paracetamol tak dibaginya pulak dr nih. Peliknya, kalau viral, yang dia prescribe antibiotic tu buat hape?? Antibiotic kalau bacterial buleh ler... iskk.. Apola dokter nih...

Uhuh.. adake mimpi malam tadi menyebabkan sakit mata ini? Heheh.. Takde kena mengena kot.. Tahape2 tah mimpi tu... Macam pelik gak.. apesal lak tetiba mimpi ttg orang itu?? Aku ni byk fikir ttg org itu ke sampai dia terlekat di subconscious? Isk.. konpius jap. Mimpi tu pasal apa ntah pun tak ingat.... yang ingat mimpi ttg orang itu.. Pelik betul mainan tidur kali ini...

Okla... kepala makin high... Gi lelap jap. Hopefully colleagues kat sini tak kena jangkitan mata gak la... Sian diorg.. bukannya aku takmo balik.. tak berkesempatan... Huhu.. cian la kat saye gakk..

Kisah Periuk Rendidih

Hehe... Periuk rendidih.. or the slow cooker.. (Beats the heck outta me why they have to name it periuk rendidih.

Anyways, di dalam usaha mommy sarah nak bagi sarah the best things she can offer, mommy sarah pergi la membeli slow cooker, dengan objektif utama nak bagi sarah makan fresh food la kirany. Kalau ada slow cooker ni senang, malam sebelum tido masuk semua bahan2 dia dlm tu, pastu turn on then pagi esok bila bangun, dah masak... Gitu la lebih kurang ceritanya. Oleh yang demikian, sebelum menteri kewangan domestik berlepas pergi detachment, dia pun belikan la slow cooker itu, setelah mendengar justifikasi yang telah diberikan oleh mommy sarah...

So, satu hari yang indah, mommy sarah pun nak try la guna slow cooker tu. Resipi pada hari tersebut ialah bubur ayam dengan kacang pis dan lobak. Chewah.. Semangat nih. Selepas mencampak semua bahan2 yang diperlukan dalam periuk tu (lebih kurang pukul 11 pagi), mommy sarah pun tinggalkan periuk itu utk pergi buat mende lain pulok. Sampai masa kasik sarah lunch, jenguk gak periuk... aik..macam tadek apa je yg berlaku.. Hmm mmg sahih slow cooker sungguh ni, kata hati mommy sarah. Takpe... Rutin hari itu diteruskan.. Bila dah pukul 3, check lagik. Uik.. sama gak.. takde perubahan langsung.. Mende ni rosak ke hape.. Jenuh la selak manual operasi, tengok situ, jengah sini... pastu mommy sarah tepuk dahi... Hehehehee... Rupanya suisnya tak di-onkan..... Iskkkkkk...... *maluk nak ngaku amek electronic engineering* Hahahaha...

Kisah Mesin Parking

Last thursday bawak sarah gi hosp jumpa paed dia, sebab dia demam sikit2 dah 2-3 hari tak ok gak.. risau ler, kot2 denggi ke hape. Anyways, bawak la dia gi jumpa paed. Paed kata viral, so dia kasik la prescription yang biasa, so bertambah la stok ubatan yang ada kat umah tu. Masa nak balik tu, kena bayar dulu parking token tu kat autopay machine. So pergila kat autopay machine yang dekat sikit ngan lif nak turun ke parking. Masuk2 token tu, dia kuar balik... tgk2 dia tulis kat situ out of order.. Isk.. bosan betul.. So kena la pergi ke autopay yang jauh sikit. *Bayangkan senario ini: me berbaju batik (sbb haritu hari khamis) dukung sarah kat seblah kiri ngan handbag kat seblah kanan, plus plastik beg ubat sarah kat seblah kanan gak*

Sampai kat the other autopay, masukkan la token. Tgh dok fumble with the notes nak masukkan kat machine tu, tetiba token t u kuar balik. Checkmachine tu takdela tulis out of order pun... Try lagi skali.. masukkan token.. Elok nak masukkan duit je, token tu kuar balik... Isk.. apehal mesen nih... Tgh konpius2 tu tetiba nampak la ada satu jari kecik dok tekan2 butang cancel kat mesen tu... OWhhhh... patutla token tu asyik kuar je.... ade orang sudah main2 dgn itu cancel button.. iskkk... bertuah nye anak.. Ada orang baru dtg line up pun gelak and said "Oh.. she's been cancelling it for you.." Sabau je lah..
